Wellington: is New Zealand’s second largest urban area, after Auckland, and is also the country’s business and political centre.

Parliament: plus most of the foreign embassy’s and consulates are based in Wellington. Government House, the official residence of the Governor General, is in Newtown, opposite the Basin Reserve. Wellington is also home to New Zealand’s Supreme Court, Victoria University Te Papa ("Our Place", the Museum of New Zealand, all are near the city centre.
